Trail Escape Bristol to Bath is a point to point trail running event linking the two cities through the countryside of South Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds. Marathon and 25K routes start at Bristol & Bath Science Park before finishing at the Bandstand in Royal Victoria Park in the centre of Bath.
Runners begin on traffic free routes before joining established trails through rolling countryside, fields and woodland. The later sections enter the Cotswolds, bringing more challenging climbs and descents alongside extensive views towards Bristol and beyond, followed by the approach into Bath and the finish among the city's historic surroundings.
Both distances can be completed as a run or hike and are fully supported with route signage, marshals and aid stations providing food, hydration and toilets. The emphasis is on experiencing the trails and landscape rather than chasing a fast time, with participants receiving a timed result and finisher's medal.
