The Tigger Tor race is not only a relatively ‘tough’ fell race with some difficult terrain, but it is also subject to the winter weather. Temperatures on the day have regularly been well below zero on the moors and this is even before the effects of the wind chill. The course is unmarked so there is also an element of navigating using a map and compass.
