Thieveley Pike Fell Race is a 7K fell race near Burnley with approximately 400m of ascent. The Category AS course starts in the field beside the Ram Inn at Cliviger and heads onto the surrounding moorland for a short but demanding fell running challenge.
Runners follow part of the Mary Towneley Loop before climbing steeply onto the moor and continuing towards Thieveley Pike. The route features rough and boggy ground, open moorland, steep climbs, fast grassy descents and a more technical descent, with a final steep climb adding another challenge before the return towards the finish.
The course is flagged and marshalled, with the race starting and finishing in the same field. Fell running kit requirements are determined according to conditions, so competitors should arrive prepared to carry full waterproof body cover.
