The Wensum Way Trail is a flexible trail running event based at Billingford Lakes in Norfolk, with distances ranging from 5K through to Ultra. The event follows a repeated 5.3K out and back route incorporating part of the Wensum Way, allowing runners to build their chosen distance through multiple laps.
Runners experience a mixed terrain course combining tarmac paths, grassland and rugged trail sections around the lakes and surrounding park. Options include 5K, 10K, 15K, Half Marathon, Heavy Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra, with longer distance runners able to adjust their number of laps.
The lap based format brings runners regularly back to the event base, where an aid station provides food and hydration throughout the challenge. The event is cupless, so runners bring their own reusable cup or bottle, while all finishers receive a medal and can enjoy a complimentary coffee and cake after their run.
