The Race Organiser is Race Ready

The Race Organiser is Race Ready – are you?

The Race Organiser is chomping at the bit to get up and running again, reflecting the feeling among so many of us as we continue to stay home to support the NHS and save lives during the Coronavirus pandemic. To help ensure we are race ready when the time comes they have launched – Race Ready!

Race Ready is a clever concept that combines virtual running at any chosen distance from 5K to marathon with a real medal, live competition with a place on the leaderboard and reward points that are redeemable as discounts off future races.

For a flat entry fee of £10 per distance (runners can enter as many distances as they wish) or £5 for children under-11 (5K and 10K only) each participant will earn 25 points per kilometre run, e.g.: 5K = 125 points; marathon = 1,000 points (the maximum). And points mean pounds off future real race entries, from £1.25 to £10.00 (the maximum) in the examples given.

The Race Organiser said: “Your health and fitness have never been more important - staying on top of your training whilst staying at home will help keep your mind active and your body strong. Use this time to get fit, stay fresh and prime yourself for a PB at your next race!”

Race Ready looks like a great opportunity to target one or more distances to focus on during the next phase of the lockdown, with the added incentive of money off when you can race for real again.

Craig from The Race Organiser adds: “ Enter Race Ready and channel your resilience and determination into action. Pick a distance and head outside for some fresh air. Whether you run, jog or walk, record your activity and submit your results – enter as many distances as you like, get out as often as you can and defend your position on the leaderboard with your best time!”

The Race Organiser has resisted the temptation to make each of their existing events 'virtual' and for a single entry fee runners can submit improved times and watch as they climb the leaderboard, or not as others join the fray!
