The Long Way Round is a six hour trail endurance event based on a repeatable 4K loop set within the Surrey Hills.
Runners complete as many laps as they can within the time limit, with the flexibility to run, rest or stop whenever they choose. The format makes it suitable for a wide range of goals, from building distance and training for ultras to simply enjoying a relaxed day on the trails.
The looped course keeps runners close to the event base, where a fully stocked aid station and support crew are available every lap. This setup creates a supportive and social atmosphere, with easy access to personal gear and encouragement throughout.
The course is fully marked and set on scenic trail paths, with on site medics and crew support encouraged. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, with prizes available and facilities including free parking and bag drop provided.
A flexible and inclusive event that allows runners to challenge themselves at their own pace in a well supported environment.
