The Liverpool Mile is organised by Mikkeller Running Club Liverpool and takes place on a fast and flat course within Brunswick Business Park in Liverpool.
The one mile road race forms part of the Merseyside Road Running Grand Prix and provides an unusual opportunity to race the classic mile distance on a fully marshalled and traffic free course. Chip timing provides accurate results, making the event particularly attractive to runners looking to test their speed over the short distance.
Race numbers are collected close to the start within Brunswick Business Park. A cash prize fund is available, with trophies also presented to the first three male and female finishers.
After the racing, runners can continue the evening at Black Lodge Brewery on Kings Dock Street, home of Mikkeller Running Club Liverpool and around one mile from the finish. The combination of a fast course, distinctive distance and post race gathering gives The Liverpool Mile its own character within the Merseyside racing calendar.
