The Benarty Gala Trail Race is a scenic 5 mile trail event organised by Nuts Trail Races, starting and finishing at Lochore Meadows Country Park in Fife. Held as part of the Benarty Gala celebrations, the race offers a welcoming atmosphere and showcases the area's beautiful lochside and woodland scenery.
The approximately 5 mile route follows trails around the southern shores of Loch Ore before climbing into Harran Hill Woods for a loop through the forest. Runners then return alongside the loch to the finish, enjoying panoramic views of Benarty Hill and a varied trail route that can become muddy in places, particularly after wet weather.
With a finisher's medal for every participant, prizes across multiple age categories and excellent facilities at the Willie Clarke Visitor Centre, the Benarty Gala Trail Race delivers an enjoyable day of trail running. Its combination of scenic woodland, lochside paths and friendly community atmosphere makes it a popular fixture on the Fife trail running calendar.
