Thames Meander Autumn

Thames Meander Autumn is a riverside trail running event in Barnes, south-west London, offering 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon distances on fast, predominantly flat routes beside the River Thames.

All three races follow out-and-back courses along the Thames Path. The 10K heads across Barnes Bridge towards Kew Gardens before turning near Kew Gardens Car Park. Half Marathon runners continue alongside the river towards Petersham and Ham Sea Scouts before returning to Barnes, while the Marathon completes two laps of the Half Marathon course.

The largely flat and runnable Thames Path makes this a good option for runners looking for fast conditions while retaining the scenery and character of a trail event. The route passes through attractive stretches of Kew and Richmond, with the River Thames providing the backdrop for much of the race.

The courses are marked and marshalled, with stocked checkpoints and professional medical support. Race headquarters are at Barnes Sports Club, close to the start and finish area at Small Profits Dock Gardens.
