The Telford T50 Trail Run follows the Telford T50 Trail, a long distance route linking parks, woodland, nature reserves, countryside paths and historic landmarks across Telford and the surrounding Shropshire countryside. Offering a choice of a demanding 50 mile Ultra Marathon and a 10 mile trail run, the event welcomes experienced ultra runners as well as those looking to take on a shorter trail challenge.
Starting and finishing at The Unicorn Inn in Little Dawley, the route passes many of the area's best known locations, including the Ironbridge Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wrekin and a network of green spaces that reflect Telford's industrial heritage and natural beauty. The varied trail routes combine woodland paths, countryside trails, hills and historic trackways to create a rewarding endurance challenge with constantly changing scenery. Excellent organisation, well supported checkpoints and a friendly atmosphere have established the Telford T50 Trail Run as one of Shropshire's most distinctive long distance trail running events.
