Results Organiser
The Tamworth 5 Mile starts and finishes at Tamworth AC Stadium, following a traffic free route around the surrounding cycleways and footpaths. The course uses hard tarmac and stone surfaces, creating a mixed terrain race away from normal road traffic.
Runners face an undulating five mile course, including a steady climb after the opening mile before the route trends gradually downhill later in the race. The combination of firm surfaces, traffic free paths and changing gradients gives the course plenty of variety from the stadium start through to the finish.
A 1 mile Fun Run takes place before the main race, adding a shorter option to the event programme. Organised by Tamworth Athletic Club, the five mile race also forms the final event of the Burton and District Summer League season.
