The Takeley 10K is a scenic community race based at the Silver Jubilee Hall in Takeley, Essex. Established in 2010, the event has grown into a popular local fixture while continuing to raise funds for the village and its facilities.
Runners tackle a varied 10K route beginning along the old disused railway track before continuing through the countryside around Takeley. The course provides a mix of surfaces and rural scenery before bringing runners back to the Silver Jubilee Hall for the finish.
The event is chip timed, with every 10K finisher receiving a medal and technical T shirt. A separate 1 mile children's and family fun run accompanies the main race, adding to the welcoming community atmosphere.
