The Suffolk Coastal Path 50K is a point to point ultra from Lowestoft to Aldeburgh, following the Suffolk Coast Path through Southwold, Dunwich and some of the county's best known coastal landscapes.
Runners cover a varied 50K route made up of paved paths, quiet country lanes, dirt trails, moorland and forest sections. With only around 120m of climbing, the course is relatively flat and provides an approachable introduction to ultra distance running while still offering plenty of changing terrain.
The route passes Dunwich Heath and RSPB Minsmere before continuing along the coast through Sizewell and Thorpeness to the seafront finish in Aldeburgh. Four aid stations, full course marking, medical support and live chip timing support runners throughout the race.
