This event features a seven-hour cut-off with a mass start at 9 am, giving you the flexibility to run your race at your pace and choose the distance that suits you best.
Participants can select from 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon, or ultra marathon distances. Those running shorter than a half marathon will follow an out-and-back route, turning at designated points, which creates a sociable and supportive atmosphere. The half marathon consists of one loop, the full marathon is two loops, and the ultra marathon extends beyond this with an additional section out to the 5K turnaround point.
The event uses the Hargrave Half route, with the Mount Barrow route in place for 5K and 10K runners. Aid stations providing drinks and light refreshments will be available approximately every 10K, ensuring you are well supported throughout your run.
Parking is included in the entry price, making arrival and access straightforward. The race headquarters and base camp are located at the start and lap point, where a water and aid station will also be available. After entering, you will receive a confirmation email from both your entry portal and Zig Zag Running, which will include a link to the race briefing information pack.
All finishers will receive a bespoke medal at the end of the race. If you choose the lucky dip finisher option, where available, you will be able to select from a range of previous or finisher medals instead. Please note that this is a cupless event, so all participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.
With the event taking place close to Christmas, runners are encouraged to embrace the festive spirit. Fancy dress is not compulsory, but it is very much welcomed and adds an extra layer of fun to the day.
