The Stretton Skyline Fell Race is a demanding 19 mile challenge organised by Telford Athletic Club, taking runners across some of the best known summits in the Shropshire Hills. Intended for experienced fell runners, the course tests endurance, climbing ability and navigation over a spectacular route.
The course visits the summits of Pole Bank, The Ragleth, Caer Caradoc, The Lawley and the Long Mynd, following a mixture of marked and unmarked sections. Competitors must navigate parts of the route independently, with dibbers used to record progress at each summit and water stations positioned around the course.
The Stretton Skyline rewards runners with outstanding hill scenery and a true fell running experience. Its demanding terrain, significant climbs and navigational challenge make it one of the region's classic long distance fell races.
