Stourhead Trust10 is a free monthly 10K run exploring the wider Stourhead estate in Wiltshire. Starting and finishing in front of Stourhead House, the route provides an informal way to experience the historic estate and surrounding countryside, with no advance booking required.
Runners tackle a challenging mixed terrain course across pasture, woodland, rough and uneven trails and sections of public road. The route also passes an Iron Age hillfort, with King Alfred's Tower marking the approximate halfway point. The variety of surfaces and countryside setting create a rewarding 10K challenge through some of Stourhead's wider landscape.
Trust10 focuses on enjoying running in the landscape rather than providing a conventional timed race experience, so participants wanting to record their result need to bring their own timing device. The event welcomes runners over 14 when accompanied by a parent or guardian, while dogs can join runners when kept on a short fixed lead.
