The St Nicholas Hospice Care 10K is a community running event starting and finishing at Angel Hill in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. The scenic route takes participants through the historic Abbey Gate and Abbey Gardens before heading towards Moreton Hall and returning to the town centre.
Runners tackle an undulating 10K course using a mixture of closed roads and footpaths, with hills providing an additional challenge along the way. The event is chip timed and is designed to welcome a broad range of abilities, from runners attempting their first 10K to experienced athletes looking to test themselves over the distance.
An event village on Angel Hill adds to the race day atmosphere with music, stalls and support for runners approaching the finish. Participants receive a finisher's medal and post race refreshments, while the event raises funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care and its work supporting people and families across West Suffolk and Thetford.
