The Spitfire Scramble is a 24 hour multi terrain endurance event held at Hornchurch Country Park, with options for solo runners or teams of two to eight.
Participants complete repeated laps of a 5.75 mile course from midday to midday, with only one runner on course at a time in team events. The looped format keeps runners close to base, creating a strong atmosphere and straightforward logistics.
The mixed terrain route runs through parkland and woodland within a historic former RAF site, adding character to the challenge. Running through the night forms a key part of the experience, testing endurance and pacing.
An on site event village includes camping, catering, toilets, showers and medical support, making it easy for runners and supporters to stay throughout.
All finishers receive a medal and event t shirt, with prizes awarded across categories. A well established endurance event that combines team strategy, individual challenge and a supportive community feel.
