Something To Talk About is a flexible distance trail running event at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre in the heart of the New Forest. Set against the backdrop of the Grade I listed manor house, the course explores the surrounding forest on a scenic loop incorporating woodland trails, boardwalks and sections alongside lakes.
Runners repeatedly tackle a roughly 3.3 mile loop and can choose how far they want to run on the day, from a single loop through 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon distances to an Ultra. The course provides a more technical trail running experience, while the flexible format allows participants to finish after their chosen number of laps within the overall event time limit.
The Run DMC aid station is positioned at the start and finish of every lap, providing drinks and a selection of sweet and savoury food throughout the event. All runners completing at least one loop receive a medal, while toilets, showers and changing facilities are available at the venue. The relaxed event base also gives runners space to leave their kit and spend time with fellow participants between laps.
