The Snape 10K & 5K Fun Run is a long established community running event based at Snape Institute near Bedale in North Yorkshire. Set around the historic village of Snape, the event features a main 10K race alongside a shorter 5K Fun Run designed to make the day accessible to families and younger runners.
The 10K follows a mixed terrain course through the surrounding countryside, combining rural paths with sections of road through the Bedale area. The 5K Fun Run is mainly held across footpaths and fields, providing a shorter off road focused alternative and welcoming children as well as adults.
Both distances finish back at the event base, with medals presented to all finishers and trophies awarded across race categories. Snape Institute provides registration, toilets and refreshments, while home cooked food and baking contribute to the friendly village atmosphere surrounding the event.
