The Six Dales Trail Race and Ultramarathon takes place from Otley, West Yorkshire, offering 13 mile, 20 mile and 32 mile trail race distances. Starting near the centre of Otley, the routes head into the surrounding Yorkshire Dales countryside, linking a network of trails, tracks and rural landscapes across the region.

Each distance provides a different challenge, with the 13 mile route featuring around 1,700ft of climbing, the 20 mile course 2,500ft, and the 32 mile ultramarathon approximately 3,800ft. The routes pass through a series of dales and remote countryside areas, creating a demanding but rewarding trail running experience.

As part of a wider trail race series, the event combines long distance trail running with varied terrain and substantial elevation gain, showcasing the landscapes surrounding Otley and the Yorkshire Dales.
