Starting at the Silchester playing fields in the heart of the village, the Run Silchester courses takes you along the English Heritage ancient Roman Wall that once enclosed the Roman town of Calleva Atrebatum, past the 12th century St Mary-the-Virgin church and through inspiring trails in ancient natural woodland before finishing at the sports pavilion. The run offers some of the most picturesque and varied scenery and challenging trails of all the organised events in Hampshire and Berkshire.
To create a festival environment there will be additional activities including food stalls, bar, a children’s entertainment fun zone, music and the ever-popular Silchester Village Market on the playing fields.
