Sikhs In The City Dawn To Dusk Ultra is a community organised ultramarathon in Woodford Green, East London. Hosted by Sikhs In The City, the event challenges runners to complete at least 50K within a set time window, with the opportunity to continue running further.
The ultra takes place on a measured 2K circuit, with runners completing a minimum of 25 laps to qualify for the ultramarathon medal. The predominantly tarmac route has an undulating profile, providing a consistent but demanding challenge as the distance builds. Electronic chip timing records individual laps, while refreshments are available at the start and finish of each circuit.
The event brings together experienced ultramarathon runners and those stepping up to longer distances in a supportive community setting. Marshals, medical assistance and refreshments help participants throughout the day, with the lap based format allowing runners to monitor their progress and manage their pace across the challenge.
