Shepley 10K

The Shepley 10K is a hilly road race through the countryside surrounding the West Yorkshire village of Shepley. Starting from Shepley Cricket Club, the race follows picturesque country lanes on a certified accurate 10K course, with a kids fun run and family activities also forming part of the event.

Runners follow an anticlockwise route with a fast opening and fast finish surrounding a much tougher middle section. The picturesque hills provide the defining challenge of the course, requiring runners to manage their effort through the climbs before taking advantage of the quicker closing section. The combination of rural lanes, changing gradients and faster stretches creates a varied course for both experienced club runners and those taking on a challenging local 10K.

Shepley Cricket Club provides the race headquarters and a welcoming base for runners, volunteers and supporters, with food available around the event. Awards recognise leading overall and veteran runners across a range of age categories. With its accurately measured course, countryside setting and balance of speed and demanding hills, the Shepley 10K has a distinctive character among West Yorkshire road races.
