The Sedgefield Serpentine is a scenic 10K trail race starting and finishing at Hardwick Park Visitor Centre in Sedgefield. Held in memory of Gail Bell, the event takes runners beyond the park and into the surrounding County Durham countryside.
Runners follow an approximately 10K trail route through Hardwick Park and the countryside towards Bishop Middleham before returning to the park. The combination of parkland and rural trails creates a varied off road course, with the start and finish surrounded by the attractive landscape of Hardwick Park.
Organised by Sedgefield Harriers, the race has an established competitive element alongside its welcoming local atmosphere.
