Yr Wyddfa Sea To Summit is a 29 mile mountain ultramarathon in North Wales, beginning at historic Caernarfon Castle and travelling from sea level towards the summit of Yr Wyddfa. The route covers coastal trails and rugged mountain terrain, with around 5,600ft of elevation gain.
Runners and trekkers follow a fully waymarked course, with orange arrows marking the route and mountain safety teams positioned at key locations. The journey builds from lower level trails into increasingly mountainous terrain before reaching the summit of Wales' highest mountain.
The event is designed as a supported endurance challenge rather than a conventional road race, with professional medical and mountain safety support provided along the course. Yr Wyddfa Sea To Summit can be completed as a standalone event and forms part of Rat Race's Sea to Summit series.
