The Scafell Sky Race is a demanding 38K mountain race based in Great Langdale, featuring 2,800 metres of ascent across some of the most technical terrain in the Lake District. The route follows single track mountain trails, scree and rocky sections while linking together a series of iconic Lakeland summits, including Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain.
Starting and finishing in Great Langdale, the circular course passes through high mountain passes, remote valleys and exposed fell terrain. Part of the Skyrunning UK series, the race is designed for experienced mountain runners seeking a challenging test of endurance, technical ability and climbing strength in one of Britain's premier mountain running locations.
