The Sawtry 10 is a 10 mile road race through the Cambridgeshire countryside, starting and finishing at Sawtry Village Academy. The single lap route follows quiet rural roads through Sawtry, Hamerton and the surrounding countryside, passing Hamerton Wildlife Park and Aversley and Archers Woods.
Runners can expect a gently undulating course with approximately 360ft of elevation and a mixture of faster stretches and gradual climbs. The route is officially measured and licensed, with chip timing, full marshalling and three water stations positioned around the course. Most roads remain open to traffic, with a partial road closure around the start area.
The race is part of the Cambridgeshire AA Road League and welcomes runners with a 2.5 hour cut off, including an early start option for those expecting to take longer. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, with prizes for leading individuals and teams and additional recognition for new course records.
