This event follows the River Exe from Exmouth inland towards Dulverton along a mainly off road route using valley paths, tracks and riverside trails. Distances vary from relay sections to a full ultra, with a continuous 43 mile option following the river upstream through changing countryside. The terrain is mixed, with long runnable sections alongside more remote and undulating stretches. The setting moves from estuary to upland, creating a point to point journey that mirrors the salmon’s migration from sea to spawning grounds.
