Race 1 of the Sale Sizzler Series opens one of the North West's most popular summer 5K race series. Organised by Sale Harriers Manchester, the four race series takes place across June and July, giving runners the opportunity to test themselves on the same fast course throughout the summer.

Starting and finishing at the Wythenshawe Park athletics track, the 5K follows a flat road route entirely within Wythenshawe Park. The traffic free course is well known for producing fast times, attracting everyone from first time racers to experienced club runners chasing personal bests.

With a strong competitive field, excellent club atmosphere and the opportunity to return throughout the series to track progress, Race 1 provides the perfect start to the Sale Sizzler summer racing programme.
