Run to the Castle Ultra is a point to point event starting at Aberdovey Village Hall in Aberdyfi and following the Wales Coast Path towards Harlech. The 42 mile route passes through Tywyn, Fairbourne and Barmouth before finishing beneath the historic castle at Harlech, combining beaches, coastal tracks and pavements. A marathon option follows the same route before finishing at Barmouth.
Organised by How Hard Can It Be Events, the race features a fully marked course, four checkpoints with food and drinks, baggage transport to the finish, finisher's medals and online results. Mandatory safety kit is required for all participants, with a 12 hour time limit for the event.
Run to the Castle Ultra offers an unforgettable journey along the North Wales coast, combining spectacular sea views, varied terrain and a rewarding point to point finish for runners tackling either the ultra or marathon distance.
