Run Media City 5K & 10K is a flat road running event based at MediaCity Piazza in Salford. Both distances follow a 2.5K circuit through the heart of MediaCity, creating a fast urban course surrounded by the area's distinctive waterfront architecture.
Runners cross the Millennium Bridge and pass landmarks including the Imperial War Museum and the BBC and ITV television studios. The flat circuit makes the event accessible to runners of different abilities while also providing a good opportunity to target a quick 5K or 10K time on a compact, well marked course.
Both races are chip timed, with kilometre markers and marshals positioned around the route to guide runners. The start and finish at MediaCity Piazza provide a central hub for the event, with finisher medals, official race photos and post race goodies included for participants.
