The Media City 5K & 10K returns for a summer evening of racing around one of Greater Manchester's most recognisable waterfront locations. Starting and finishing at Lowry Plaza, the event offers runners the chance to enjoy a fast and scenic city centre route surrounded by modern landmarks and waterside views.
The course follows a 2.5K loop through MediaCity, crossing the Millennium Bridge and passing the Imperial War Museum North as well as the studios that are home to some of the UK's best known television broadcasters. The flat layout and accurately marked distances make the event suitable for runners of all abilities, whether targeting a PB or simply enjoying a midweek race.
With chip timing, free race photography, post race refreshments and a unique finisher medal, the event delivers a welcoming atmosphere and an enjoyable evening of road running in one of the North West's most distinctive urban settings.
