Run For The 97 is a 5K road race in Liverpool held in Stanley Park, following a route between Anfield and Goodison Park. The event was created as a legacy run in memory of the 97 people who lost their lives at Hillsborough and also recognises the families and survivors connected to the tragedy.
The course follows park roads and paths through Stanley Park before passing the Eternal Flame at Anfield and returning to the finish. The route is mainly flat and creates a unique community running event in the heart of Liverpool football heritage.
