The Solway Half Marathon & Marathon takes place on the quiet rural roads of North West Cumbria, starting and finishing in Anthorn. The routes follow country lanes through Bowness on Solway before returning along scenic coastal roads beside the Solway Firth, creating a fast and largely flat road running experience.
The Half Marathon completes a single loop, while the Marathon covers two laps of the course. With open countryside, coastal scenery and minimal elevation, the event is well suited to runners chasing a PB as well as those looking for a scenic long distance race in a peaceful corner of Cumbria.
