Run Bournemouth Junior Races form part of the Run Bournemouth weekend, giving children aged 3 to 12 the opportunity to enjoy organised running along the town's famous seafront.
The programme includes a Junior 2K for children aged 9 to 12, a Junior 1.5K for ages 6 to 8 and a Kids' Kilometre for ages 3 to 6. The scenic coastal routes start on Bournemouth Promenade, take in Bournemouth Pier and finish near the Run Bournemouth Hub in the Lower Gardens. Children taking part in the Kids' Kilometre must be accompanied by an adult.
All three distances are chip timed, with participants receiving a finisher's medal, distance keyring, technical T-shirt and finisher's pack. The races provide a welcoming introduction to organised running, with families and spectators adding to the atmosphere along Bournemouth's seafront.
