Run Aintree Half Marathon, 10K & 5K gives runners the opportunity to race around the famous Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, best known as the home of the Grand National. Three distances share the distinctive racecourse setting, with a flat course designed for fast and accessible racing.
Runners follow a lap based road course around the circuit, with one lap for the 5K, two laps for the 10K and an out and back section followed by four laps for the half marathon. The largely flat profile makes the event well suited to runners chasing a personal best, while the traffic free racecourse environment provides a memorable alternative to a traditional city road race.
Each distance is chip timed and accurately marked, with marshals positioned around the route to guide and encourage runners. Finishers receive a themed medal, free race photos, water and post race goodies, with an event village providing additional food and drink options around the start and finish area.
