Rock Up 'n' Run Slawit is a 5K and 10K event organised by It's Grim Up North Running from Upper Mills in Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire.
Both distances use flat, out and back routes along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal towpath, providing predominantly fast and runnable conditions beside the water. The 5K offers a shorter option while the 10K extends further along the canal before returning to the same finish in Slaithwaite.
The event has an informal evening race format designed to combine timed running with the social atmosphere of the Rock Up 'n' Run series. Finishers receive one of the organiser's jumble medals, with post race refreshments available at the finish. Its traffic free canal setting and choice of distances provide an accessible introduction to trail racing as well as an opportunity for faster running.
