The Robin Hood 100 is a fully marked 100 mile ultramarathon exploring Sherwood Forest and the surrounding Nottinghamshire countryside. The route starts and finishes at South Wheatley Village Hall and follows runnable trails with generally gentle undulations and no major climbs.
Runners follow the Chesterfield Canal towpath towards Clumber Park before joining trails and footpaths through sandstone villages, farmland and historic estates. The course reaches the heart of Sherwood Forest for two laps, passing landmarks including the Major Oak, Creswell Crags and areas around the Welbeck and Thoresby estates.
The course is fully marked and marshalled, so no specialist navigation is required, with refreshments provided at regular intervals and at the finish. All finishers receive a HOBO Pace Robin Hood medal.
