The Reservoir View Fell Race offers a classic evening fell running challenge across the hills of East Lancashire. Starting near Accrington, the race takes competitors onto the rugged trails and open fellside surrounding Hameldon Hill and Mitchell House Reservoir, combining demanding climbing with rewarding panoramic views.
Covering approximately 10.5K with around 370 metres of ascent, the BM category course provides a testing but enjoyable route for experienced fell runners and those looking to step up to longer hill races. The varied terrain includes tracks, open fell and steep climbs, showcasing the distinctive landscape of the South West Pennines.
Organised with registration at Accrington Cricket Club, the event welcomes runners aged 16 and over. With its friendly atmosphere, scenic course and traditional fell racing character, the Reservoir View Fell Race is a popular fixture in the summer fell running calendar.
