The Red Moss Kips is a 10.5K hill race held in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh. Starting from the Red Moss area above Balerno, the route heads across hill trails and open hillside terrain with approximately 350 metres of climbing.
The course features steep ascents, fast descents and exposed sections across the Pentlands, creating a challenging but accessible introduction to hill racing. Organised by Hunters Bog Trotters, the event is a popular midweek fixture that combines scenic hill running with wide views across the surrounding countryside.
