Raynedeer Run is a festive trail event organised by Hare & Tortoise Running at Rayne Station near Braintree, Essex. The event features 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon distances alongside a 6 hour challenge, following the historic Flitch Way, a former railway line through the Essex countryside.
Runners follow a traffic free, out and back course on hard packed trails, with each circuit measuring approximately 5.3K. Four laps complete a Half Marathon and eight a Marathon, while the 6 hour challenge allows runners to complete as many laps as they wish within the time limit. The gently undulating route provides regular access to the central aid station.
Refreshments are available after every lap, including drinks, fruit and snacks, with space for runners to leave their own supplies. The event is cupless, so participants must bring a reusable drinking container. All finishers receive a bespoke medal to mark their achievement.
