Wellingborough & District AC in conjunction with Northamptonshire Sport are launching a new trail race on Sunday 26 February 2023. Runners are invited to try the Welly Trail Half Marathon & 10K then relax and recover over a hot drink and refreshments afterwards. 

The event is held at the Chester House Estate in Little Irchester, Wellingborough and a nationally important heritage site. Archaeological digs have uncovered a Northamptonshire history that goes back more than 10,000 years making it a most interesting place to visit. 

There will be another type of digging in on Sunday 26 February as participants put their winter fitness levels to the test. They’ll make the most of the attractive route whether they are going hard and fast for the winner’s prizes or a PB or content to take it at an easier pace. The course includes a local Nature Reserve amongst its many features.

Note: this event is not open to canicross.  

Are there any hills? There is one in the half marathon and another in the 10K but apart from that nothing extreme.  

Participants will be pleased to hear that parking is free at the Chester House Estate. This is always a bonus. 

All the information about the race will be emailed to participants a week beforehand.
