Under PolarNight Marathon – or Polar Night Marathon as it is officially called – you run in the middle of the day in the blue, Arctic light that characterises the period before the sun returns. This is also an ideal time to visit Tromsø if you want to experience the beautiful northern lights dancing across the dark sky. Along the course, the audience cheers you on and lights up the route with applause through the winter darkness. For many, the race is not only a physical challenge, but a memory for life.
During the Polar Night Marathon you can choose between four distances: Ishavskraft Marathon, Polar Night Half Marathon, Mørketidsmila (10 km) and Mørketidstrimen (5 km).
