The Pilgrims' Ultra is a long distance trail running event following St Oswald's Way through Northumberland. All three distances begin on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, with 50K, 100K and 100 mile routes heading south through the varied landscapes and historic sites of the county.
Runners follow a mixed terrain trail route featuring sandy beaches, coastal paths, countryside trails and inland sections. The 50K finishes at Craster, while the 100K continues to Rothbury and the 100 mile route extends to Heavenfield, creating increasingly demanding journeys along the long distance St Oswald's Way.
The route combines an endurance challenge with Northumberland's distinctive natural and historic landscape, passing ancient castles and stretches of open coastline before travelling deeper into the county. Live GPS tracking supports runners across the event, with finishers receiving a medal and event T-shirt.
