Manchester Friday Firecracker is a 7 hour timed running event from Hardy Farm, following a flat riverside trail beside the River Mersey and through the Chorlton Water Park area.
Runners complete repeated 5.3K out and back laps on riverside towpaths, choosing how far they want to run within the seven hour time limit. Distances from 5K and 10K through to half marathon, marathon and ultra distance can be achieved, with the largely flat course providing plenty of opportunity to build mileage at your own pace.
The flexible format welcomes runners, walkers and joggers of different abilities, with participants able to finish after a single lap or continue throughout the event. A well stocked aid station supports runners at Race HQ, and every finisher receives a medal.
