The Phoenix West Sussex Fox Trot is a seven hour timed running challenge held within Buchan Country Park near Crawley. Set across a country park covering around 170 acres, the event allows runners to choose their own challenge, from a single 5K through 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon distances to an ultra.
Runners complete laps of an approximately 5.3K out and back course on compact off road trails through the park. There is no need to commit to a distance beforehand, allowing participants to stop once they have achieved their target or continue accumulating laps for as long as they wish within the seven hour limit.
Flexible staggered starts contribute to the relaxed format, making the event accessible to runners with a wide range of goals and experience levels. Participants can choose a medal from a selection of previous Phoenix Running designs, while a no medal entry option is also available for those who prefer to take part without a physical finisher memento.
