runABC is in the process of upgrading and improving its online service so you might encounter the odd glitch over the next week or so but rest assured we’re working on them and the new site will be a fantastic resource for our running community.

Stephen Hill in his cyan vest at Edinburgh Marathon Festival

Parkinson's UK

Stephen Hill has a key piece of advice for runners in this year's Edinburgh Marathon - run for a cause and find extra reserves at the key moments in your race.

Stephen told runABC Scotland: "I loved every step of Edinburgh Marathon in 2017, which is lucky as there were quite a few of them! I was so proud to be wearing the cyan shirt of Parkinson’s UK because it reminded me that I could dig deep when I needed to. And boy did I need to at times. The staff and volunteers made the whole experience one that I will treasure forever, and I know that my blood, sweat and tears have made a huge difference to those living with Parkinson’s in the UK. Thanks team!"

And just as they did with Stephen, Parkinson's UK will support you all the way through your training and fundraising. You'll receive a breathable running vest with iron-on letters, and a fundraising pack to give you plenty of ideas and inspiration. Best of all you'll be helping Parkinson's UK to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by the disease.
