The Panopticons Ultra is a 32 mile point to point trail ultra marathon across East Lancashire and the South Pennines. The route links the four Panopticon art installations including Colourfields, Halo, Singing Ringing Tree and Atom while following sections of the Pennine Way, Rossendale Way and Pennine Bridleway.
The course combines rolling countryside trails, moorland paths and steady climbs with around 4700ft of elevation gain across varied off road terrain. Starting in Blackburn and finishing in Trawden, the event offers a scenic ultra running challenge through the industrial heritage landscapes and open hills of East Lancashire.
