Paddy’s Pole Fell Race is a 6K fell running event held at Fell Foot near Chipping in the Forest of Bowland. The route packs 336 metres of climbing into a short but demanding course, taking runners onto open hillside terrain around Parlick and the landmark known as Paddy’s Pole.
Despite its relatively short distance, the race provides a challenging test of climbing and descending ability with steep gradients and classic fell running conditions. The course offers expansive views across the Bowland landscape and is a popular fixture in the north west fell running calendar.
